Iquitos

The city of Iquitos is located at the north of the jungle, toward the east of our country. It is the main city of the Loreto Region, with almost 30 % of the national territory. The city is located at the edge of the secondary part of the Amazon river, in front of a great place called "Padre Isla". It is woody and it has almost twenty kilometers of length. The city is surrounded by a lot of rivers and small channels.

A short distance from there, it is found the joining between the great Napo river and the Amazon. In this fluvial world, the communications depend on more the navigation than earth transportation, practically inexistent out of the city of Iquitos.
